Data and privacy
What StudioKing keeps, where, and for how long. The short version: almost nothing, and most of it stays in your own browser.
The short version
- No sign-up to use the studio, no advertising and no cross-site trackers. We count page views in aggregate with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not fingerprint you.
- Your favourites, kits and settings live in your browser until you choose to share them with your team.
- If you leave your details in the brand kit, we use them only to follow up with you about it.
In your browser
Stored in your browser's local storage, on your device only: favourites, filters, view settings, kits you save, the studio's current recipe, your brand lens colour, live mode settings, the brand kit form (brand name, colour, industry, website), and whether you have seen the introduction. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes all of it.
Analytics
Cloudflare Web Analytics, served by the same network that hosts StudioKing, counts page views, referrers, countries, devices and page speed (Core Web Vitals) in aggregate. Cloudflare states that it uses no cookies or local storage and does not fingerprint visitors by IP address, user agent or any other data. There is no advertising, retargeting or cross-site tracking.
When your team signs in
Kits you share go to your team's private library, stored with Cloudflare. Signing in is handled by Cloudflare Access, which sets a sign-in cookie for this site. Only signed-in members of your team can read or change the library.
When you ask for a hand
The brand kit's optional form sends: your name, email, phone if you give it, brand name and colour, industry, website, and the two checkboxes (help putting it live, product updates). It is queued with Cloudflare, then added to Nirvani, the customer system our team works from. After it reaches Nirvani, the queued copy is deleted within 90 days; a copy that cannot be delivered is deleted 90 days after the last try. We use it only to follow up about your kit, and for product updates only if you ticked that box.
When you sign off on backgrounds
A sign-off link shows one client's backgrounds. Approving or asking for changes sends your name, email, the decision and your comment. The review keeps the decision, your name and comment so the agency and anyone holding the link can see the thread; your email is never shown on the page. The decision is also added to Nirvani so the agency can act on it. Review links and their decisions are deleted 90 days after the link was created.
Hosted links
The background API serves backgrounds; it does not collect personal data. Like any website, Cloudflare processes request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the service.
